Using the tool
These terms apply to the planner, guides and contact forms. The site is provided for personal or professional project planning. You may save, print and share the plans and shopping lists you generate for your projects. If you do not agree to these terms, please stop using the site.
Measurements, estimates and fitting
Results depend on the dimensions, openings, stock lengths and options you enter. The planner assumes rectangular wall elevations and models applied rails and stiles. It does not inspect the site, confirm building requirements, account for every trim profile or locate framing, wiring or plumbing.
Cut lengths are rough planning dimensions. Check actual board sizes, corner angles, saw settings and installed rail positions, then dry-fit before final cuts. Stock nesting uses a deterministic heuristic and may not give the absolute minimum purchase quantity. Cutting waste excludes extra purchased boards and strips removed while ripping. Sheet offcuts are calculated separately.
Material links are search suggestions. Product availability, prices, suitability, box quantities and delivery are controlled by the retailer. No retailer or manufacturer endorses this planner.
Guides and safe installation
The guides provide general DIY information for this applied system. Follow your selected products' instructions and your tools' manuals, and check any local requirements that apply to the work. Get qualified help where your project needs it. You are responsible for site measurements, material selection, fastening and safe execution.
Acceptable use and feedback
Do not interfere with the service, bypass its access controls, submit spam or attempt to access another person's messages. Submit only information you are entitled to share. By sending feedback, you allow the owner to use your suggestions to improve the website without an obligation to pay for or attribute the idea. Your message and reply email are handled under the Privacy Policy.
Site content and service limits
The site's original text, design and software are maintained by Wainscot Workshop. External references and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Permission to use your generated plan does not grant permission to redistribute the website's software or republish its guides as your own.
The website is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted access, a particular project outcome or error-free estimates. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the owner is not responsible for losses resulting from relying on unverified plans or installation choices. These terms do not exclude rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
